20-year-old Rachel Davies has been diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic for 9 years. When Rachel, from Crewe, moved to Chester University to study English Language and Creative Writing in 2009, like any normal student she made sure she had a fair balance of studying and partying. However, after neglecting the care of her diabetes on two separate occasions, she realised what serious consequences could come about, as she told The Diabetes Chronicle.
